This roof style is a combination of a mansard w/hip and a gable w/hip in the sense that it is a gable at the center but transfers to a mansard w/hip at the outer sections. This style tends to be used in our northern counties. It has a vaulted open feel with no flat spots and a roof that looks like a pyramid.
